Trailer Wheel bearings on most modern Boat, Jet Ski and Travel trailers are sealed and do not require service. When a bearing fails it must be replaced. Wheel bearings on older Trailers and newer Trailers with non-sealed bearings should be serviced at the interval recommended by the manufacturer.
Disc brakes should be inspected for pad wear and scoring of the rotors. Badly worn pads must be replaced. If rotors are not badly scored they can be machined, otherwise they must be replaced.
Drum brakes should be inspected for shoe wear and scoring of the drums. Badly worn brake shoes must be replaced. If drums are not badly scored they can be machined, otherwise they must be replaced.
